A seven-run comeback wasn’t enough for the LumberKings on Friday night, as they dropped an 11-10 heartbreaker in 10 innings to the Burlington Bees at NelsonCorp Field.

A four-run 3rd inning and a clutch bullpen effort helped the Clinton LumberKings outlast the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes, 8-6, on Thursday night at Robin Roberts Stadium, handing the Horseshoes their first loss of the season and giving Clinton a win to open Prospect League play.

The Clinton LumberKings jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t hold off a late rally, falling 7-6 to the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes on Wednesday night in a back-and-forth contest at Robin Roberts Stadium.
