The Brisbane Bandits (3-4) and Sydney Blue Sox (4-3) split the doubleheader and round 2 series overall with Brisbane winning game one, 5-2 and Sydney winning the second game 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at Blacktown International Sportspark.

Robbie Perkins became the Australian Baseball League’s standalone No. 4 all-time hits leader with a four-hit performance Thursday night, but the Brisbane Bandits couldn’t keep pace with the Sydney Blue Sox in an 11–1 loss at Blacktown International Sportspark Thursday night.

Sydney erupted for 18 runs in the opener before Brisbane’s pitching responded with a combined five-hit shutout in game two, as the teams split Saturday’s doubleheader at Viticon Stadium.
