The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp clinched the 2024 Prospect League Northwest Division title with a 3-0 victory over the Clinton LumberKings on Thursday night at Schweickert Stadium.

Productive bats lead the LumberKings to a sweep and a playoff berth to the 2024 Prospect League Playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time in Prospect League history and the first time since the 2010-2013 season that the LumberKings have made consecutive playoff appearances during their time in minor league baseball.

In the first game of the doubleheader at Schweickert Stadium, which resumed play in the bottom of the third inning on June 25, the Clinton LumberKings delivered a commanding performance, defeating the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp 10-3.
