BRISBANE, Australia - We’re fired up to welcome right-handed pitcher Tyler Jeans to the Brisbane Bandits! Standing at 6’4″ and 220 lbs, the Arkansas State Red Wolves product brings a serious arm and next-level potential to our pitching staff.
Jeans carved out a solid senior season at A-State, working both as a starter and out of the bullpen — racking up 58 strikeouts across 41⅓ innings, including a career-high 9 Ks in just five innings against Eastern Illinois.
Bandits Manager Jim Bennett said, “TJ took two years off after not getting signed in 2023. It was a time he needed to move on and go get a ‘real job’ as we say in baseball. With baseball being in his blood and the competitor that he is I think he just knew his time wasn’t over in this game. He signed with Fargo for the last month of the season this year and was lights out. Chris Coste, his manager (who I have huge respect for as a man and baseball guy) couldn’t say enough great things about TJ as a pitcher and a person. I’m looking forward to handing him the ball late in the game."
With his size, strikeout stuff, and versatility, Tyler adds real depth to our rotation and gives the coaching staff options in high-leverage moments. Expect him to make an early impact, whether he’s taking the ball to start or shutting things down late.
Catch Tyler and the Bandits in action on November 13th, 2025, as we kick off Opening Day at Viticon Stadium and fire up another massive ABL season. Tickets available now
