Brisbane Bandits Welcome Texas Rangers Prospect Kamdyn Perry for the 2025/26 ABL Season

BRISBANE, Australia - The Brisbane Bandits are thrilled to announce the signing of Kamdyn Perry, a promising right-handed pitcher from the Texas Rangers organisation, for the upcoming ABL season.

Born on August 9, 2005, in Fremont, Nevada, the 6-foot (193cm), 200-pound (91kg) pitcher was selected by the Rangers in the 17th round of the 2023 MLB Draft out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas — one of the top baseball programs in the U.S.

Still just 20 years old, Perry has already made his mark across multiple levels of the Rangers’ system, pitching for the Arizona Complex League Rangers, Down East Wood Ducks, and Hickory Crawdads in the Carolina League (Single-A). In his two minor league seasons, he has recorded 69 strikeouts in 84.2 innings, showing flashes of his potential and competitiveness on the mound.

Perry’s high school career showcased his dominance early on — boasting a perfect 13-0 record, a 2.78 ERA, and 123 strikeouts in 108.1 innings pitched. With impressive control, he never finished a season with more than 20 walks, a testament to his command and maturity as a young pitcher.

Landing a player from the Texas Rangers organisation — one of Major League Baseball’s premier development programs and the 2023 World Series champions — is a huge win for the Brisbane Bandits. It reflects the club’s growing international connections and commitment to bringing elite young talent to the Australian Baseball League.
